Privacy Policy
Effective 24 September 2026
Renly is published by Rivesa Inc. ("Rivesa", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information Renly collects, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
The short version
- You can explore Renly and its sample medications without an account; nothing is sent to us.
- To add your own medications you sign in with Apple. We then collect only what is needed to run the app: your sign-in identity and the medication information you enter.
- We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking tools.
- You can delete your account and your data at any time from Profile.
Information we collect
Without an account. If you choose "Continue without an account", you can explore the sample medications. Anything you do with them stays on your device and is never sent to us. Information entered on this device before this version, without an account, also stays on your device only.
The rest of this section applies once you sign in.
Account information. When you continue with Apple, Apple gives us a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive only the relay address.
Medication information you enter. Medication names, strengths, dose amounts, dose times, remaining supply, and the record of doses you mark as taken or skipped. This is information about your health, and we treat it as sensitive.
Basic technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs such as IP address, request time and app version. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
We never use your information for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with pharmaceutical companies or anyone promoting a medicine. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or data from the Health app, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising software.
How we use information
- To show your schedule, reminders, history and reports.
- To keep your information backed up and available when you sign in again.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- To respond when you contact us.
Dose reminders are scheduled on your device. Their content is not sent to us.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run Renly, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Apple, for sign-in.
- Supabase, which hosts our database and authentication on Amazon Web Services.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or of Rivesa. If Rivesa is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may transfer as part of it, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
When you use Share in the app, the content goes wherever you choose to send it.
Where information is stored
Your information is stored on your device and on servers located in India. If you use Renly from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in India.
Keeping information secure
Information is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted so that each account can read and change only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your Renly medication records and profile are deleted from our database. Backups and server logs are removed on their normal rotation, within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction. You can see and edit your information in the app.
- Deletion. Profile, then Delete account, deletes your Renly data from our servers and from your device. Without an account, Profile, then Erase all data, removes it from your device. You can also ask us by email.
- Notifications. You can turn reminders off in Profile or in iOS Settings.
- Revoking Apple sign-in. iOS Settings, your name, Sign-In and Security, Sign in with Apple.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including the right to obtain a copy of your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Children
Renly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Not a healthcare provider
Rivesa is not a healthcare provider, and Renly is a personal tracking tool. Information in the app is not covered by medical confidentiality laws that apply to doctors, hospitals and insurers, such as HIPAA in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
